WoW Trading Post Guide: This Month's Transmogs, Pets, Mounts, Toys and Free Rewards
5 min read
The Trading Post is World of Warcraft's monthly rotating shop, and it refreshes on the first of every month with a new batch of mounts, pets, transmog and a free bonus reward. You pay for everything with Trader's Tender, a currency you earn just by playing, not with gold and not with real money. This page covers what's in the shop right now, plus everything you need to know about how the system works. We keep it updated as each new month goes live.
This Month: August 2026 Showdown

August rides in with a black and white outlaw theme. Think dusty gunslingers, lawbringers and their opposite numbers, all rendered in matching Midnight (black) and Snowy (white) variants so you can build the exact look you want. If you have wanted a Wild West set for your character, this is the month for it.
The free bonus reward
This month's Traveler's Log reward is the Ensemble: Midnight Outlaw, a full transmog set. You do not buy it with Tender. You earn it by completing enough monthly activities to fill the Traveler's Log bar, so it is effectively free if you play through your log. More on how to fill that fast below.
Mounts

Three mounts headline August, and one of them is a first.
Mount | Cost |
500 Trader's Tender | |
550 Trader's Tender | |
700 Trader's Tender |
The one to grab is the Hateforged Blazecycle, a flaming motorcycle mount that was previously a promotional reward and is hitting the Trading Post for the very first time this month. If you missed it the first time around, this is your shot, and at 500 Tender it fits inside a single month's earnings. The Badlands Buzzard is a rare white buzzard that leans right into the showdown theme, and the Grandmaster's Royal Board rounds out the trio at the top of the price range.
Standout transmog

The outlaw theme runs deep this month. The full lawbringer look comes in two mirrored sets, the Ensemble: Badlands Lawbringer in black and the Ensemble: Righteous Lawbringer in white, each 675 Tender for the complete outfit. Pair either with the matching weapons, the lawbringer hand cannons, knives and branding-iron maces, which run 200 to 225 Tender apiece. Cheaper accent pieces round it out, with gunslinger hats, eyepatches and outlaw belts sitting in the 30 to 100 Tender range, so even a light month of Tender gets you a piece of the look. The Ensemble: Grandmaster's Royal Attire at 550 Tender is the standout non-western set for anyone after something more regal.

Filling your Traveler's Log fast
To claim the free Midnight Outlaw set and bank up to 500 bonus Tender, you need to complete activities from the Traveler's Log. The log takes a mix of content, including Mythic+ dungeons, battlegrounds, raids and world events, and you only need to complete enough to fill the bar rather than every single task. If your play time is tight this month and you would rather not chase the harder log entries yourself, Kingboost can knock out the Mythic+ and activity requirements so the bonus set and the Tender land without the hassle.
How It Works
Get Tender every month
At the start of each month, every player with an active account in good standing automatically receives 500 Trader's Tender from a chest called the Collector's Cache. Everyone gets the same amount, no matter how they pay for game time. If you are not subscribed at the exact start of the month, you still get it. The Tender is awarded on the first day you have active game time that month.
Earn more from the Traveler's Log
On top of the automatic 500, you can earn up to 500 additional Trader's Tender each month by completing activities in the Traveler's Log, found in the Adventure Guide with Shift-J. The activities rotate on a monthly theme and cover normal play like quests, battlegrounds, holiday events and Mythic+ dungeons, plus a few tasks built specifically for the month. There is a cap on how much you can earn, so you never have to finish the entire log. Just complete enough to hit the ceiling.
Freeze an item for later
If there is a must-have item you cannot afford before the month ends, you can freeze it. A frozen item stays available month over month until you buy it or replace the freeze with something else. And any Tender you do not spend never expires. It carries over and keeps building, so a quiet month now can fund a big purchase later.

FAQ
HOW DO YOU GET THE FREE MOUNT FROM THE TRADING POST EACH MONTH?
Fill the Traveler's Log bar in the Adventure Guide (Shift-J) by completing that month's activities. Filling the bar awards the monthly bonus mount at no Tender cost. It's only available during that month, so complete it before the reset.
HOW MUCH TENDER CAN YOU EARN PER MONTH?
Up to 1,000. You get 500 automatically from the Collector's Cache at the start of the month, and up to 500 more from Traveler's Log activities. There's a cap on the earnable Tender, so you don't have to finish every activity.
DOES TRADER'S TENDER EXPIRE?
No. Unspent Tender rolls over month to month and accumulates with no cap, so you can save up for an expensive item across several months.
CAN YOU BUY TRADING POST TENDER OR MOUNTS?
No. Tender is earned only by playing and cannot be purchased with gold or real money, and the exclusive mounts are not tradeable. Any service claiming to sell them directly is not legitimate.
WHAT IS THE FREEZE FEATURE?
If you can't afford a specific item before the month ends, you can freeze one item to keep it in stock for you in future months until you buy or replace it.
IS THE BONUS REWARD FREE?
Yes. It's is earned by filling the Traveler's Log through normal activities, not bought with Tender.
CAN I STILL GET LAST MONTH'S ITEMS?
Only if you froze them before the month ended. Otherwise the Trading Post rotates its stock each month, though items can return in future rotations.
IS TRADING POST AVAILABLE IN WOW CLASSIC?
No. It is a modern World of Warcraft feature only.
