WoW Forever Camping, Every Object and the Buffs That Block Them
Camping is new to World of Warcraft: Forever and it is not a profession. It sits beside the two you already have, costs you no slot, and turns the old Classic campfire into a shared site that hands out real buffs. Anyone can take those buffs. Only the crafter can place the object.
You meet it early. A quest called The Great Outdoors shows up around level 5, asks you to sit at a campfire, and sends you to a Cooking trainer for your own Basic Campfire. From there every profession you have trained hands you a quest that teaches its first camp object
How to unlock camping in WoW Forever

Three steps and none of them cost gold worth mentioning.
- Pick up The Great Outdoors at around level 5. The objective is a /sit at the campfire in front of the quest giver
- Train Cooking in the nearest town and learn the Basic Campfire. The two reagents, Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder, are sold by the Cooking trainer
- Hand in the 101 quest for each profession you have trained. Your profession trainer teaches you that profession’s Tier 1 camp object
You can place a fire from that moment. It costs Simple Wood and runs on a 5 minute cooldown

How a camp actually works
- A Basic Campfire holds 3 camp objects on top of the fire itself
- You can only place one object yourself. The other two slots need other players, which is the whole point of the system
- Every camp object shares a one hour cooldown. Placing one rules out the rest for the hour, so the choice is real
- Sit or craft near the fire for 1 minute before the buffs land
- Crafting a camp object gives you two of it, and each is consumed on use
- Objects are tradeable, but you need the profession skill to place one. Anyone sitting there gets the benefit regardless of their own professions
Camps also carry vendors, repairs and crafting stations, so a camp with the right objects lets you craft and repair without riding back to a capital
Every camp object by profession
Each profession has three tiers, at skill 20, skill 140 and skill 300. Every upgrade keeps the buff of the object it replaces and adds a workstation on top, and you can place a higher tier directly over a lower one.
| Profession | Tier 1, skill 20 | Tier 2, skill 140 | Tier 3, skill 300 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemy | Mana Well | Fermenter | Alchemy Laboratory |
| Blacksmithing | Sharpening Wheel | Anvil | Master Forge |
| Enchanting | Enchanted Lute | Arcane Salvager | Arcane Forge |
| Engineering | Reagent Bot | Repair Bot | Anarchist’s Workbench |
| Herbalism | Incense Candle | Greenhouse | Seed Hybridizer |
| Leatherworking | Camp Tent | Tanning Rack | Sewing Machine |
| Mining | Lodestone | Rock Garden | Molten Foundry |
| Skinning | Camp Chair | Field Guide | Trapper’s Workbench |
| Tailoring | Faction Banner | Spinning Wheel | Loom |
| First Aid | First Aid Kit | Toxicology Paper | Plague Doctor’s Laboratory |
| Fishing | Fish Bowl | Fishing Rack | Fishing Hut |
Cooking works differently. It builds the fire itself rather than an object that sits on it, and that is covered below

Do camp buffs stack with class buffs?

No, and this is the single most useful thing on the page. Almost every camp buff names the class buff it is exclusive with, so a duplicate does nothing at all.
| Camp object | Buff | Blocked by |
|---|---|---|
| Fish Bowl | 8% increased stats | Blessing of Kings |
| Camp Chair | 2% critical strike on spells and attacks | Moonkin Aura |
| Enchanted Lute | Armor, all stats and resistances | Mark of the Wild |
| Lodestone | Melee Attack Power | Blessing of Might |
| Sharpening Wheel | Strength | Strength of Earth Totem |
| Incense Candle | Intellect | Arcane Intellect |
| Faction Banner | Spirit, faction members only | Divine Spirit |
| Mana Well | Mana regeneration | Blessing of Wisdom |
| First Aid Kit | Stamina | Power Word: Fortitude |
| Camp Tent | Rested XP to 5% of a level | Nothing |
| Reagent Bot | Buy reagents, no stat buff | Nothing |
Run your group through that list before anyone places anything. A party with a Paladin wastes the Fish Bowl and the Lodestone. A party with a Balance Druid wastes the Camp Chair. A party with a Mage wastes the Incense Candle
Which camp object should you place?
Three of them always land, because nothing in the game competes with them.
- Camp Tent from Leatherworking, at skill 20 for five Light Leather. Rested experience up to 5% of a level, with no class buff that blocks it. On a 150 hour levelling run this is the most valuable object in the system
- Repair Bot from Engineering. Repairs and reagent sales in the field, and no class provides either
- The best unblocked stat buff. Work out what your group already carries, then fill the hole
If your slot is free and nothing is blocked, the Fish Bowl at 8% to all stats is the strongest raw buff in the system, and it comes from a secondary profession that costs you no primary slot

How many objects can a camp hold?
Three on a Basic Campfire, and only Cooking raises that.
| Campfire | Cooking skill | Objects |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Campfire | 1 | 3 |
| Journeyman Campfire | 90 | 5 |
| Expert Campfire | 200 | 10 |
Cooking also places Cookie’s Feast at skill 140 for Stamina food, and the Iron Oven at skill 300, which the most advanced cooking recipes require.
If you run with a regular group, one person taking Cooking to 90 doubles what the rest of you can contribute. Take it to 200 and a ten-slot camp covers almost every buff in the game at once
The Legacy perks that change camping
Three Legacy perks point straight at camps:
- Reagent Economy strips vendor reagent costs from your class abilities and makes your Tier 1 camp objects free to craft
- Field Guide, three ranks, cuts the cooldown on placing camp features by 8% per rank
- Permanence, two ranks, extends your long-duration party buffs by 50% and the benefits you gain from resting at a camp by the same
Legacy Points are earned across the account and spent per character, with 16 available at launch, so a dedicated camper can specialise while your other characters spend elsewhere
What to do first
- Take The Great Outdoors the moment it appears. It costs a /sit and it opens everything
- Get one profession to skill 20 early so you have something to place while levelling
- Take Leatherworking or find someone who has it. Rested experience to 5% of a level is the one buff nothing else duplicates
- Put Cooking on at least one person in your regular group and push it to 90. Three slots fills up fast
- Check the blocked column before placing. A duplicate buff does nothing, and the shared hour cooldown means you do not get a second try
Camping rewards the same thing everything else in Forever rewards, which is time. KingBoost handles WoW Forever profession and Cooking levelling from launch day so your camp is worth sitting at
