Aion 2 Transcendence Guide to Arcana Cards From 1600 GS to Ludra
7 min read
Quick summary: Transcendence opens at 1600 Gear Score. Run Stage 1 until all 5 Arcana slots hold green cards, which adds about 200 Gear Score. At 1900 push Stage 2 for blue cards, then Stage 3 at 2200 and Stage 4 at 2500 for gold cards. Ludra, the first Season 1 raid, needs 2800 Gear Score and a 10 player group.
Transcendence is the biggest Gear Score jump in the Aion 2 midgame, and it is the system that carries you from the end of your solo progression to the first raid. KingBoost runs Aion 2 Transcendence and raid services every week, and this guide covers every step: how the stages work, what each card grade is worth, how to farm green and blue cards, how to enhance and set your cards and how to reach Ludra ready to clear.

What is Transcendence in Aion 2

Transcendence is a seasonal 5 player dungeon mode. Each dungeon has 4 stages, and every stage needs a higher Gear Score and adds new effects that make monsters and bosses stronger. Clearing a stage rewards Arcana cards, and the card grade depends on the stage you clear.
Every run is scored. Your grade depends on how fast you kill the boss and finish the mission without dying, and you need an S rank to advance to the next stage. Anything lower and the next stage stays locked, so a clean fast clear matters more than a slow safe one.
Season 1 runs from September 30 to December 16, 2026 with two Transcendence dungeons: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. Both stay in the rotation for later seasons, and Submerged Life Temple joins them in Season 2.
Transcendence stages and Gear Score requirements
| Stage | Gear Score | Shattered Arkanis effects | Deus Research Base effects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 1600 | None | None |
| Stage 2 | 1900 | Poison Blood | Balance |
| Stage 3 | 2200 | Poison Blood, Elevation | Balance, Wrath |
| Stage 4 | 2500 | Poison Blood, Elevation, Tolerance | Balance, Wrath, Judgment |
The stage effects decide how you play each dungeon from Stage 2 onward.
- Poison Blood. Elite Tier 3 and stronger enemies leave a zone when they die that heals monsters and damages you. Kill elites away from the next pack and never fight a boss inside a pool.
- Elevation. Each non boss enemy that dies boosts the damage of nearby enemies. Burst packs down together instead of killing them one at a time.
- Tolerance. Bosses gain more stagger resistance, so save your crowd control for key moments.
- Balance. Elite Tier 3 and stronger enemies leave a zone that boosts monster damage and hurts you. Pull the next pack out of the zone before you engage.
- Wrath. Non boss enemies hit harder once they drop to 50% HP. Kill them fast from 50% down and avoid leaving packs half dead.
- Judgment. Boss hits stack a debuff that explodes for damage based on HP. Spread out and keep the tank stacks under control.
Arcana cards explained
Arcana are cards that raise your Gear Score and add stats on top of your gear. You have 5 Arcana slots: Bell, Chalice, Compass, Mirror and Parchment. Each slot holds one card, and each card comes in four grades.
| Colour | Grade | Gear Score | Max enhance | Gear Score at max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grey | Common | 20 | +2 | 22 |
| Green | Rare | 40 | +3 | 43 |
| Blue | Epic | 60 | +4 | 64 |
| Gold | Unique | 80 | +5 | 85 |
Each card also carries an Empyrean Lord stat, from 8 on a grey card to 20 on a gold one, and rolls random class skill bonuses when it binds. Grade matters far more than these rolls early on. Equip the highest grade card you own in every slot and ignore the skill options until you reach gold cards.
What each Transcendence stage drops
| Stage | Gear Score | Typical cards |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | 1600 | 2 green, 3 grey |
| Stage 2 | 1900 | 2 blue, 3 green |
| Stage 3 | 2200 | 2 gold, 3 blue |
| Stage 4 | 2500 | 5 gold |
Each stage moves the drop pool up one grade, which is why the jump from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is the most important push of the midgame.
Arcana Gear Score at every setup
| Arcana setup | Gear Score from cards |
|---|---|
| 5 grey | 100 |
| 2 blue, 3 empty | 120 |
| 5 green | 200 |
| 5 green at +3 | 215 |
| 5 blue | 300 |
| 5 blue at +4 | 320 |
| 5 gold at +5 | 425 |
Notice the second row. Two blue cards with three empty slots give less than five green cards. An empty slot gives nothing, so filling every slot always comes before chasing a higher grade.
How to farm green cards at 1600 GS
Stage 1 is your farm for green cards. It has no stage effects, so it is the easiest content in Transcendence and the place to learn each dungeon route.
- Run both dungeons. Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis each have their own daily reward counter, so alternating doubles your card income.
- Fill all 5 slots with green. Five green cards push a 1600 character to about 1800 Gear Score.
- Equip every upgrade at once. A green card beats a grey card in every slot, whatever its stats.
- Keep spare cards. Duplicates are enhancement material, so never sell or discard them.
- Learn the route. Fast clears earn the S rank you need for Stage 2, and Stage 1 is where your group should practise.
Pair Transcendence with the rest of your weekly routine. Abyss farming, Abyss gear and enhancement close the last gap to 1900, while the cards carry most of the climb.
How to farm blue cards at 1900 GS
At 1900 Gear Score Stage 2 opens, and it drops 2 blue and 3 green cards per clear. This is the stage where Poison Blood and Balance appear, so your group needs a plan for elite kills before you queue.
- Earn S rank on Stage 1 first. The stage stays locked until you do.
- Replace green with blue one slot at a time. Each swap adds 20 Gear Score.
- Kill elites away from the boss room. Both stage effects punish fighting inside the zones elites leave behind.
- Bring a tank and a healer. Templar and Cleric make the effect zones far safer for the rest of the group.
- Use spare greens as food. Every green you replace feeds your blue cards.
A full set of blue cards takes your Arcana to 300 Gear Score, or 320 fully enhanced, and puts you on track for Stage 3 at 2200.
How to farm gold cards at 2200 and 2500 GS
Stage 3 at 2200 is the first stage with gold cards, at 2 per clear alongside 3 blue. Stage 4 at 2500 drops 5 gold cards and stacks all three stage effects at once.
Treat Stage 3 as your main farm until you hold a full blue set, then work gold into your best slots. Stage 4 is the cleanest source of gold cards but needs a geared group that handles every stage effect, so most players move into it once they are close to raid ready.
How to enhance Arcana cards

You enhance Arcana by feeding them Training Arcana or spare cards. Each level adds +1 Gear Score and +1 to the main stat, and each step costs twice the EXP of the one before.
| Grade | Total EXP to max |
|---|---|
| Grey to +2 | 900 |
| Green to +3 | 4,200 |
| Blue to +4 | 18,000 |
| Gold to +5 | 93,000 |
| Material | EXP |
|---|---|
| Lesser Training Arcana | 200 |
| Intermediate Training Arcana | 600 |
| Superior Training Arcana | 1,500 |
| Ultimate Training Arcana | 3,000 |
| Exalted Training Arcana | 5,000 |
| Spare grey card | 200 |
| Spare green card | 400 |
| Spare blue card | 800 |
| Spare gold card | 2,000 |
Enhancing is never wasted. A fed card returns more EXP than you put into it: a green card at +3 feeds 4,600 EXP, more than the 4,200 it took to enhance. Enhance your current cards freely, then feed them into the next grade when you upgrade. Training Arcana cost 2,000 Kinah each to register, so bigger materials save Kinah.
Arcana sets
Two Arcana sets give bonuses when you equip enough cards from them. Set cards count at every grade.
| Set | 2 cards | 4 cards |
|---|---|---|
| Primal Vigor | +60 PvE Attack at 70% HP or more | +150 PvE Attack at 70% HP or more |
| Magic Armour | Restores 1,500 MP at 20% MP or less, 30 second cooldown | +1,000 PvE Defense at 50% MP or more |
Primal Vigor is the damage set and the default pick for DPS players. Magic Armour suits tanks and players who struggle with MP in long boss fights. The set is a bonus on top of Gear Score, so take a higher grade off set card over a lower grade set card while you are still climbing.
How to Transmute a gold card
Transmute creates a gold card from the set you choose. It costs 5 Mysterious Crystals and 2,000,000 Kinah. You can also fix up to 2 extra effects, each for 10 more crystals and 3,000,000 more Kinah.
Mysterious Crystals come from Season challenges, the Tower of Trials through your Ascension score, the Season Shop growth tab and transmuting cards you no longer need. Transmute is the way to finish a gold set when one slot refuses to drop.
Transcendence weekly limits
| Counter | Limit |
|---|---|
| Reward clears | +1 every 12 hours, stores up to 14 |
| Deus Research Base rewards | 2 per day, stores up to 4 |
| Shattered Arkanis rewards | 2 per day, stores up to 4 |
| Final boss kills | 28 per week |
Your reward clears refill whether you play or not, but stop at 14. Log in at least every few days so the counter never caps and you never lose free card drops.
How to get S rank in Transcendence

- Use a runner. One player sprints ahead to unlock teleporters while the group clears, then everyone ports to the boss.
- Do not die. Deaths cost score, so play safe on pulls you cannot handle.
- Burst packs together. Effects like Elevation and Wrath punish slow kills.
- Save cooldowns for the boss. Kill speed on the final boss weighs heavily in your score.
- Bring a balanced group. A tank and a healer let the damage dealers play aggressively without deaths.
Gear Score road from 1600 to Ludra
| Gear Score | What opens | Your goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1600 | Transcendence Stage 1 | Five green cards |
| 1900 | Transcendence Stage 2 | Blue cards in every slot |
| 2100 | Fire Temple Conquest | New weapon and armour tier |
| 2200 | Transcendence Stage 3 | First gold cards |
| 2500 | Transcendence Stage 4 | Full gold set |
| 2800 | Abyssal Forge: Ludra | Raid ready |
Arcana carry you through 2200, but cards alone stop at 425 Gear Score. Weapon and armour upgrades from Fire Temple, the Abyss and enhancement do the rest of the work toward 2800.
Ludra raid guide
Abyssal Forge: Ludra is the first raid of Season 1 and the end goal of every Transcendence push.
| Detail | Ludra |
|---|---|
| Gear Score | 2800 |
| Players | 10 |
| Bosses | 4 |
| Weekly limit | 1 clear per week |
| Reset | Wednesday |
| Revives | 2 per run |
You face four bosses in order: Central Abyss Fusion Reactor, Isolation Specialist Rahu, Abyssal Wings Ketu and Eternal Ludra. Eternal Ludra has a 10 minute enrage timer, so your raid needs real damage to finish the fight. The third stage sends the biggest monster wave of the raid, so plan your cooldowns before you start that push.
The prize is Ludra’s weapon line, Unique weapons at item level 102 for every class, along with the Abyssal armour and accessory set at item level 86. Every clear also pays Soul Codex, Silentium, Kinah and a chance at Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation. The weapons drop rarely, so plan for many weeks of clears.
Before your first Ludra run
- Reach 2800 Gear Score. The raid will not let you in below it.
- Fill your Arcana with blue and gold. Cards are the cheapest Gear Score you have left.
- Run Fire Temple Conquest. Its gear tier bridges the gap from Transcendence to the raid.
- Match your set to your role. Primal Vigor for damage, Magic Armour for tanks.
- Join a steady group. One clear per week rewards a raid that learns the fight together.
Transcendence is the grind that gates everything in this guide, and Aion 2 Transcendence clears your stages for the S ranks and Arcana drops. Aion 2 Kinah covers Transmute and enhancement, and Aion 2 Abyss Points funds the Abyss gear that closes the last gap to Ludra. If your class is still undecided, our Aion 2 class tier list covers the best picks for group content.
