Aion 2 Spacetime Rift Timer and Guide to Entering Enemy Territory

Spacetime Rifts are the only way to cross into the other faction’s homeland in Aion 2. The schedule runs on the server clock, not your local time. Check the in-game clock once against your own and note the difference, then add it to every time above. The game also posts a system message in chat before each rift opens, so keep chat visible when an opening is close.
The cycle never changes. If you just missed a rift, the next one is always exactly 3 hours away.
How Spacetime Rifts work
A rift opens a set of portals on each faction’s field maps at the scheduled time. Step through one and you arrive in the enemy faction’s territory, where you can quest, farm, raid strongholds and fight enemy players.

Speed decides whether you get in at all. Portals take a limited number of players and close early once they fill, so the first minutes after an opening matter most.
Where rift portals spawn
Rift portals appear on four maps, with 10 portals in total each cycle.

Portals do not spawn on a fixed point. The world map marks a large rift zone, and the portal appears somewhere inside it as a purple marker. Zoom in on the map to find the exact spot, then fly straight there. On the Elyos side, portals often show up near the Destroyed Abyss Gate and southeast of the Aullaeu Village border.
How to enter a Spacetime Rift
- Reach level 45. The portal will not let you through below it.
- Gear up first. Enemy guards and players hit hard, so bring your best gear.
- Pick up quests before you go. Accept every regional quest you can so the trip pays extra.
- Wait near the rift zone. Park close to where portals spawn a few minutes before the opening.
- Watch for the purple marker. The moment it appears, fly to it and enter.
- Track your timer. You have about 1 hour inside, so plan your route before you go.
How to sneak into enemy territory safely
The rift is a PvP zone by nature, but you control how much risk you take.
- Turn PvP off before you go. Aion 2 lets you switch your PvP flag outside the Abyss. Flag off in your own territory before you enter, since the toggle cannot be switched freely inside enemy lands.
- Avoid enemy guards. NPC guards attack on sight even when your PvP flag is off. Fly around guard posts rather than over them.
- Go in a group. A party clears quests faster and turns any fight in your favour.
- Stay away from main roads. Enemy players gather around towns and travel routes.
- Leave early. Head back with time to spare rather than racing the timer.
- Carry recovery consumables. Potions and a resurrection stone save a run that goes wrong.
What Spacetime Rifts reward
Rifts are a steady source of character growth at level 45.
- Abyss Points from quests and kills in enemy territory.
- Stigma Shards for your Stigma upgrades.
- Daevanion Crystals for permanent stats.
- Enemy quest rewards from regional quests on the other side.
- Stronghold and dungeon loot found in enemy lands.
Rifts matter even more once you hit the weekly Abyss Points limit. After that cap, rifts remain one of the few ways to keep earning a small amount of Abyss Points until the Wednesday reset.
