Every New Collectible Mount in WoW Patch 12.0.7 and How to Get It
10 min read
Patch 12.0.7 dropped a fresh batch of mounts across the Sporefall raid, the new Showdown zones, Dragonflight Timewalking and the summer events. Most are locked behind weekly timers or multi-week achievement chains rather than a single lucky kill, so the wall between you and your collection is usually time, not difficulty. Here's every mount, what it rides on and the exact steps to get there.
Luminous Sporeglider from Sporefall raid

A glowing flying sporeglider built from 4 Delicious Sporesnacks, Warbound, one per week from Rotmire.
- Unlock the Harandar zone if you haven't. The portal sits in Silvermoon City and opens after the quest "The Root Cause", or automatically once any character on your account has finished the Main Campaign.
- Queue Sporefall on any difficulty. Rotmire drops 1 Delicious Sporesnack on your first kill of the week.
- Repeat across 4 separate weeks. The lockout is one snack per week, so four weeks is the hard floor.
- Combine the 4 Sporesnacks to create the mount.
A few things I'd pass on from running this. If all you want is the snack, just queue Raid Finder. The drop is identical on every difficulty and Rotmire folds fast in LFR, so there's no reason to force a Normal or Heroic group unless you also want the gear. Two warnings: the Sporesnacks are a consumable, so don't right-click them as they come in, sit on all four and combine them in one go, because people have absolutely used one early by accident. And since they're Warbound, check your Warband bank and just kill on whatever character is parked in the easiest spot that week. You don't need to do it on the same toon each reset.
Voidmancer's Starcarver via Val meta achievement

A Void-themed mount sold by Kifaan once you finish the Val meta A Trip Around the Stars
- Talk to Riftblade Maella on the upper level of the Bazaar in Silvermoon City. Pick up Stalkers of the Stars and Veterans of the Great Dark.
- Follow the chain through To the Voidstorm and Beyond! until the Greater Void Portal opens in Voidstorm, in the Howling Ridge area to the south of the zone.
- Take the portal to whichever Showdown zone is active that week. Only one of Val or Naigtal is open per reset, and it rotates each week.
- Complete the six Val meta requirements, including the intro questlines for both zones, the follow-ups, Frosty Domanaar Politics, Climate Strange: Val, Showdown Slugger: Val and Showdown Success: Val. Because both zones are involved, this needs a minimum of two weeks.
- Once A Trip Around the Stars fires, buy the mount from Kifaan at the Umbral Base Camp (front of the camp, around [47.8, 81.6] in Naigtal, also sold on the Val side).
Don't sit around waiting for the inactive zone. Whichever side is open that week, blitz its rares and world quests first, then pivot when the portal rotates. Nothing in the meta is order-locked, so you're just banking progress on whatever's available. And the world quests in these zones respawn inside an hour, so the "8 different world quests" line looks scarier than it plays. A couple of focused evenings clears it.
Netherforged Nullframe from Naigtal meta achievement

Same vendor, same camp, gated behind the Naigtal meta A Trip Around the Stars instead
- Unlock the zones through Riftblade Maella exactly as above if you haven't already.
- Work the Naigtal meta requirements: the shared intro and follow-up questlines plus the Naigtal-specific objectives (A Hal'hadar Walks into a Swamp, Climate Strange: Naigtal, Showdown Slugger: Naigtal and Showdown Success: Naigtal, which wants 8 different world quests in the zone).
- World quests in Naigtal last about an hour and respawn fast, so the 8-quest requirement clears quicker than it reads.
- After A Trip Through the Stars completes, purchase from Kifaan at the Umbral Base Camp.

Luminous Sporeglider

Voidmancer's Starcarver

Netherforged Nullframe
Tortured Gorger from Heroic Showdowns achievement

The ground mount, and the heaviest Showdown grind, since every requirement has to be done on Heroic World Tier
- Enable Heroic World Tier by choosing Heroic when you select the Greater Void Portal. It recommends item level 274 and up, and the affixes hit hard if you're under that.
- Clear the six Heroic Showdowns achievements across both zones. These cover Heroic versions of the rare kills, world quests, storm objectives and affix-empowered enemy kills, plus Heroic: Pain of Command, which needs both zone world bosses (Nexus-Captain Leth'ir in Naigtal and Imperator Pertinax in Val) killed on Heroic. Bring a group for the bosses.
- The zone rotation again forces a two-week minimum because both sides are required.
- Buy the Tortured Gorger from Kifaan once Heroic Showdowns fires.

Spawn of Vyranoth via Turbulent Timeways V

An event mount from the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement. The event runs June 30 to August 11
- Queue Timewalking Dungeons through the Dungeon Finder. You can start as low as level 10.
- Each dungeon grants Knowledge of Timeways, a stacking 2-hour buff. Hit 4 stacks and it converts to Mastery of the Timeways, which counts as one week of credit.
- Earn Mastery of the Timeways in 4 separate weeks during the event. Progress is account-wide, so you can swap characters week to week.
- Miss the August 11 cutoff and the mount becomes a Feat of Strength, then sells from any Timewalking vendor (for example Aridormi in Legion Dalaran) for 5,000 Timewarped Badge during that expansion's Timewalking week.
The trick I'd flag here: earn your weekly Mastery of the Timeways on an alt you never actually log into. The buff has to survive across the weekly reset to bank the credit, and if it's sitting on your main you'll eventually log in, let it tick down and lose the week. Park it on a character you won't touch and the week is safe.
Black-Furred Bakar and Liquid Hot Magma Slug (Dragonflight Timewalking)

Two vendor mounts from Xydan, available only while the Dragonflight Timewalking week is active.
- Wait for the Dragonflight Timewalking week to be live on the event calendar.
- Find Xydan in Valdrakken.
- Farm Timewarped Badge by running Dragonflight Timewalking dungeons (Ruby Life Pools, Halls of Infusion, Brackenhide Hollow and the rest of the rotation).
- Buy each mount for 5,000 Timewarped Badge. Both together is 10,000 badges, so this is a badge grind more than anything else.
Sun Festival's Painted Roc - Midsummer Fire Festival

Lord Ahune's first mount, a daily-luck drop during Midsummer.
- During the Midsummer Fire Festival, queue the Ahune event dungeon (the Frost Lord Ahune encounter).
- Kill Ahune. The mount can drop from the Satchel of Chilled Goods on your first kill of the day, account-wide.
- Repeat once per day across the festival. It's a low-chance drop with one attempt per day, so this is pure luck within the event window.
Skip the timers

Most of these aren't hard. They're slow. The Sporesnack lockout, the two-week zone rotation, the four-week Timeways buff, the Heroic World Tier gear gate and the Midsummer daily-reset luck all exist to stretch the collection across the back half of Season 1. If you'd rather have the mounts than the month of resets, our team runs the achievement chains, the Heroic Showdowns clears and the badge grinds while you skip straight to the collection tab.
FAQ
WHICH 12.0.7 MOUNT TAKES THE LONGEST TO GET?
The Luminous Sporeglider has the hardest floor at four guaranteed weeks, since Rotmire drops one Delicious Sporesnack per week and you need four. The Showdown achievement mounts can match that two-to-four-week range too, especially the Heroic-gated Tortured Gorger if you still need gear for Heroic World Tier.
ARE THE 12.0.7 MOUNTS ACCOUNT-WIDE?
Yes. The Sporesnacks are Warbound, and the achievement progress for the Showdown and Timeways mounts is account-wide, so you don't have to grind on one fixed character. The mounts themselves apply across your whole account once earned.
WILL I LOSE THE TIMEWAYS MOUNT IF I MISS THE EVENT?
No, but it gets pricier and slower. Spawn of Vyranoth turns into a Feat of Strength after August 11, then sells from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badge. Earning it live during the event is the cheaper route.
WHY BUY A MOUNT BOOST INSTEAD OF FARMING IT?
These mounts are gated by time and a Heroic-tier gear check, not by anything a few weeks of resets won't eventually clear. A boost runs the achievement requirements and the badge or Sporesnack grind for you, so the mount lands in your collection without the month-long wait or the Heroic gear barrier on the Showdown chain.
