It sits behind your whole roster, and unlike a mount or a transmog it is not something you show off in a raid, it is something you look at more than any other screen in World of Warcraft. Yes. Campsites belong to your Warband, not a character, so unlocking one puts it on every camp group across every realm. You can also assign different backgrounds to different camps once you have more than one.
Not anymore. Every campsite currently in the game is still obtainable, which means a collector starting today can reach all ten. Some of them just take considerably longer than others.
The meta-achievement ones ask for the most work, since All That Khaz and Going Goblin Mode are both built from long lists of sub-achievements. The Silvermoon City screen is not difficult so much as slow, because the quest driving it is a weekly and there is no way to compress that.
Yes. Select each campsite you want and they stack on the same order. Several of them come from overlapping content, so collectors going for the full set usually take them together rather than one at a time.
