DO I NEED SECRETS OF THE OBSCURE AT LEVEL 80
Yes. Secrets of the Obscure is designed for max-level characters and plays an important role in modern Guild Wars 2 progression. Completing this story ensures full access to content introduced in recent updates and prevents progression limitations tied to unfinished expansion chapters.
DOES SECRETS OF THE OBSCURE AFFECT GAMEPLAY OR CAN I SKIP IT
While Secrets of the Obscure is a story chapter, its completion impacts gameplay beyond narrative progression. Skipping it can limit access to certain systems, mechanics, or features introduced alongside the expansion. For this reason, many players complete the story not for lore, but to avoid hidden restrictions that affect long-term account development.
