Yes. The Janthir Wilds expansion is required to access the region and play the story. The story cannot be completed without owning the expansion. If you do not own it, you will need to purchase it before ordering.

The full 19-chapter story covers the entire expansion narrative from the diplomatic mission to the Lowland Kodan through the climactic Absolution finale in the ruins of Bava Nisos.
