DO I NEED SECRETS OF THE OBSCURE AT LEVEL 80
Yes. Secrets of the Obscure is designed for max-level characters and plays an important role in modern Guild Wars 2 progression. Completing this story ensures full access to content introduced in recent updates and prevents progression limitations tied to unfinished expansion chapters.
DOES SECRETS OF THE OBSCURE AFFECT GAMEPLAY OR CAN I SKIP IT
While Secrets of the Obscure is a story chapter, its completion impacts gameplay beyond narrative progression. Skipping it can limit access to certain systems, mechanics, or features introduced alongside the expansion.
