Higher keys drop better loot and better Vault slots. A +10 and up puts you near the top of the Season 2 table, while lower keys are the cheaper way to bank Mistcrests and Vault progress. Pick the level that matches the gear you are chasing.

Three unlocks the first Vault slot, four the second and eight all three. Eight timed runs gives you a full Vault week at your key's reward level.

Timed runs give a better end-of-dungeon chest and move your Mythic+ rating, which matters if you plan to push higher later. Untimed clears still bank the loot and Mistcrests.
