Buy the Violet-Backed Skyfang Mount: Renown 19 and 8,000 Voidlight Marl

Violet-Backed Skyfang sits at the very top of the Zul'jarra's Forces Renown track, which makes it the one you cannot shortcut with currency alone. Renown 19 is the gate and 8,000 Voidlight Marl is the price, and the Renown is the harder half since it moves on weekly content rather than effort. The upside is what clearing that gate does to the rest of the vendor. Spirit of Tok'jara at Renown 10 and Indigo Coiled Horror at Renown 17 both open up permanently on the way past, so one push puts three mounts within reach instead of one.

The Renown gates for both, yes, and permanently. Spirit of Tok'jara and Indigo Coiled Horror become purchasable at Jan'sari once your Renown clears their levels. You will need your own Voidlight Marl to buy them, 6,000 for the Indigo Coiled Horror, but the hard part is already done.
