Defeating Bodach drops a Ritualistic Book of Knowledge, which grants 2 points for your Ritual Atlas Passive Tree. He also has a chance to drop specific pinnacle boss unique items, most notably the Vestige of Darkness helmet. You can earn up to 8 passive points total by defeating him on higher difficulties.

The boss fight is in two phases. In the first phase, Bodach spits explosive orbs that create deadly dark mist and fires dangerous dark beams. The second phase introduces a traversal section where you must follow spirit orbs through the mist; failing to follow them correctly will lead to an immediate death.

Absolutely. Higher difficulty tiers for Bodach are more rewarding. As you increase the difficulty, the boss will drop additional Ritualistic Books of Knowledge, allowing you to collect up to the maximum of 8 passive points for your Ritual Atlas Passive Tree.
