Epicenter is one of Active Matter's raids set in an African location, distinct from the Soviet-themed Dalniy Island maps. It's one of the more demanding locations in the game with a unique enemy environment. Some Monolith rewards also require you to have explored it before they unlock, making it a progression checkpoint for serious players.

Each run pays out 50 Crystallized Active Matter and 100 Monolith Tokens on top of the standard raid loot. If you also have Monolith rewards locked behind the Epicenter exploration requirement, running it is the only way to clear that gate. The currency payout makes repeating it worth doing even after that's handled.
