How do you get Umbral Echelon Emblem in Destiny 2?

Umbral Echelon is the ultimate reward for engaging in the Competitive Mode. Guardians can earn the cosmetic item by gaining victories after reaching 10k+ of Glory Rank. The reward drops randomly, but won matches will grant you points. The more points you get, the higher your chances of obtaining the emblem. However, the points counter is hidden and can’t be found within the game.
 

Why is it hard to get Umbral Echelon in D2?

The emblem acquisition poses a significant challenge to those who seek to grab the item. The Competitive Mode is an environment that features guardians who have been mastering their aim and movement for years. When diving into it, you must be prepared to try hard to emerge victorious. However, there are various reasons why it’s difficult to attain the emblem:
 

• Random drop. You never know when the emblem will appear among rewards. It may take 20 wins, 50, or even more. The process involves many hours of PvP grinding in lobbies full of try-hard, skilled players. The experience is exhausting and stressful;
• Matchmaking. If you dive into the mode solo, the outcome of a game will depend on the guardians you are teamed with. Even if you are a killing machine, your teammates can be incompetent enough to make you lose. Playing the mode in a team poses another difficulty. You will be mostly matched against other duos or trios of the highest skill;
• Time-consuming process. Getting to Ascendance 0 takes many days, but the Umbral Echelon will consume extra free time of yours. Many guardians wish to own the prestigious emblem, but can’t invest so much time into the grind.
