CAM has two uses: unlocking Monolith Access Levels without spending Monolith Tokens and buying exclusive items from the Special tab in the in-game shop. It's a limited resource and some of the items in the Special shop aren't available through any other method.

The main in-game source is completing special daily raid objectives, which reward 50 CAM each. It's a slow earn rate by design, especially once you've used up the amount that came with your game edition.

No, they're separate currencies. Credits are used for general gear purchases and loadout costs. CAM is specifically for Monolith progression and Special shop purchases and can't be earned through normal looting or refining.

Depends on what you're working toward. Monolith level unlocks cost a fixed amount per tier and Special shop items vary in price. If you're trying to push Monolith progress without burning Tokens, stacking a few hundred upfront makes a noticeable difference.
