The Midnight pre-patch launches on January 20th, 2026, marking the end of The War Within Season 3. When the patch goes live, dozens of mounts, titles, achievements and exclusive rewards become permanently unobtainable.

Unlike previous seasons, there's no grace period. Blizzard confirmed that Season 3 wraps up with the pre-patch launch rather than waiting for Midnight's full release on March 2.

Every specialization tree gets redesigned, the new Devourer Demon Hunter spec launches, and the game implements its fourth stat squish alongside item level adjustments. Running competitive seasons through these balance overhauls would compromise leaderboard ratings.

TWW Season 3 Raid Rewards - Ending January 20th

Manaforge Omega is the final raid of The War Within, and its exclusive rewards disappear when Season 3 ends.

Ahead of the Curve: Dimensius, the All-Devouring

You need to defeat Heroic Dimensius before January 20th to earn this. After the pre-patch, it becomes a Feat of Strength and is no longer available.

AOTC unlocks the quest "A Twilight Oath's End" for the Royal Voidwing mount. The mount quest technically remains available until March 2nd when Midnight fully launches, but you can't start the quest without AOTC. Miss the January 20th deadline and you're locked out of the mount permanently.

This mount drops from Mythic Dimensius. While the mount itself doesn't disappear, the drop rate changes drastically after March 2nd. Currently, it drops at a reasonable rate for Mythic raiders. After Midnight launches, the drop rate drops to approximately 1%, meaning you'll be farming the boss for months hoping for RNG.

If you want AOTC, Cutting Edge or a realistic shot at the Mythic mount Unbound Star-Eater, January 20th is your deadline. Once locked, the system records final ratings to determine who qualifies for "the Unbound Hero" title. The top 0.1% of Mythic+ rankings earn the achievement and title, distributed in the weeks after the season closes.

Mounts:

• Azure Void Flyer - Keystone Master (2000+ rating). The blue variant of this season's M+ mount. You need 2000 rating before January 20th.

• Scarlet Void Flyer - Keystone Legend (3000+ rating). The red variant. Requires 3000 rating, which is a significant achievement.

Titles:

• "The Unbound" - Keystone Conqueror (1500+ rating). Relatively accessible if you're running keys regularly.
• "Triple Threat" - Complete The Unbound Dungeon Master achievement. Requires finishing multiple Season 3 dungeon achievements.
• "The Unbound Hero" - Top 0.1% of M+ players in your region. The M+ equivalent of Gladiator. Leaderboards lock at 10:00 PM PST on January 19th.
• "High Explorer" - Complete a Tier 11 Delve with lives remaining during Season 3.

Dungeon Teleports

All Keystone Hero teleports from Season 3 dungeons become unobtainable:

• Ara-Kara, City of Echoes
• Eco-Dome Al'dani
• Halls of Atonement
• Operation: Floodgate
• Priory of the Sacred Flame
• The Dawnbreaker
• Tazavesh, the Veiled Market

These teleports remain useful for farming old content and transmog runs. Once they're gone, they can't be earned again.

TWW Exclusive PvP Season 3 Rewards - Ending January 20th

PvP follows the same schedule as Mythic+, ending at 10:00 PM PST on January 19 for NA and 22:00 CET on January 20 for EU. After that cutoff, players can't earn any Season 3 PvP rewards, titles or rankings. Title distribution happens in the weeks following the season's end.

Two Feat of Strength achievements mark the highest PvP accomplishments this season. Astral Gladiator goes to the top 0.1% of 3v3 arena players who've won at least 150 games, granting the "Astral Gladiator" title. Astral Legend rewards the top 0.1% of Solo Shuffle players.

Mounts

Astral Gladiator's Fel Bat serves as the seasonal PvP mount, requiring 50 wins at Elite rank in 3v3 Arena. This requires a serious time investment if you're not already close.

Vicious Void Creeper - The seasonal Vicious mount. Earned through rated PvP wins after filling your Vicious Saddle bar.

Titles:

• Astral Gladiator - Top 0.1% of 3v3 Arena (requires 150 wins)
• Astral Legend - Top 0.1% of Solo Shuffle (requires 50 wins)
• Astral Marshal - Top 0.1% of Rated Battleground Blitz (requires 50 wins)
• Astral Warlord - Also top 0.1% RBG (faction-specific title variant)
• Hero of the Alliance/Horde: Astral - Top 0.5% of rated battlegrounds

Transmog & Cosmetics:

Elite PvP appearance sets are tied to rating thresholds:

• Combatant I (1000+): Cloak
• Combatant II: Legs & Bracers
• Challenger I: Gloves & Boots
• Challenger II: Chest & Belt
• Rival I (1600+): Helm & Shoulders
• Rival II (1800+): Weapon Illusion (Arcane)

Once the season ends, these specific colorways become unavailable. Future seasons feature different sets.

Beat Ky'veza on Tier ?? difficulty (solo not required). Reward: "Contract Killer" title.

Other Delve Achievements

• Journey's End (Season 3) - Complete the full Delver's Journey before the season ends
• War Within Delves: Tier 11 (Season 3) - Finish a Tier 11 delve with lives remaining
• With Flying Colors - Delver's Dirigible faction decals (Horde/Alliance)

Legion Remix Ends January 20th

Legion Remix ends when the pre-patch launches January 20th, closing out its 15-week revisit to the Legion expansion. The mode offered accelerated character leveling, unique bronze currency rewards and exclusive achievements.

Blizzard's messaging describes the timeline collapsing, urging players to "say your goodbyes and embrace the chaos" before the mode disappears indefinitely. Players need to finish leveling any alts in progress, complete remaining achievements and spend their bronze currency before the cutoff.

Achievements Going Away

• Bringing Order to the Isles - Complete all Order Hall Campaigns with Timerunner characters. This is a significant time investment if you haven't started.
• It All Makes Sense Now - Collect all 12 doomsayer pamphlets. A callback to the original Legion pre-patch event.
• Cloudy With a Chance of Infernals - Login achievement for the end of Legion Remix. Simply log in before the event ends.
• Putting the Finite in Infinite - Discovered the limitations of infinite power. A hidden/secret achievement.

Keystone Hero Teleports

All Legion dungeon teleports from Remix are becoming unobtainable:

• Halls of Valor
• Neltharion's Lair
• Court of Stars
• Black Rook Hold
• Darkheart Thicket
• Return to Karazhan

Bronze Currency

Any remaining Bronze currency must be spent before January 20th. All Bronze rewards become unobtainable after the pre-patch.

Horrific Visions Revisited - Likely Ending January 20th

Blizzard hasn't officially confirmed whether these rewards are disappearing, but the evidence suggests they will.

Horrific Visions Revisited was advertised as a "limited-time event" on the Battle.net launcher. The original Mad World achievements became Feats of Strength when BFA ended and history suggests the same will happen here.

The Faceless One (Title)

Complete all objectives in both Horrific Visions (Stormwind and Orgrimmar) solo with 5 Faceless Masks active. This is the "Mad World" equivalent for the Revisited version.

The Mad (Title)

Same requirements as above, but with all 8 Faceless Masks active. This is genuinely difficult and requires near-perfect execution.

Should you rush this?

If you care about these titles, yes. There's been no official confirmation, but waiting for Blizzard to clarify might mean waiting until it's too late. It's safer to complete these now.

Other Notable Achievements

These achievements are less flashy but still worth noting:

• Voidborne Victor - Complete one of several endgame milestones during Season 3. Rewards: Crystallized Ethereal Voidsplinter.
• Gilded of the Ethereal - Hit 720 average item level during Season 3.
• Weathered/Carved/Runed of the Ethereal - Outgrow each crest tier. Unlocks the ability to trade crests down.

These are seasonal achievements that won't be available after January 20th.

What Stays Until March 2nd?

A few rewards don't disappear with the pre-patch-they remain available until Midnight fully launches on March 2nd:

• Royal Voidwing Mount - The mount quest stays available, but you need AOTC to unlock it, and AOTC disappears January 20th. Effectively, your deadline is still January 20th.
• Unbound Star-Eater Drop Rate - The Mythic mount keeps its current drop rate until March 2nd. After that, it becomes a rare drop (approximately 1%).

Everything else ends on January 20th.

WoW Midnight Pre-Patch Changes

January 20th's update delivers more than just Season 3's conclusion. Midnight's pre-patch introduces substantial game changes ahead of the expansion's March 2nd release.

Devourer joins Demon Hunters as their third specialization. Void Elves can now roll Demon Hunters, opening a new race-class combination. Every spec in the game gets talent tree redesigns, while the UI receives updates including a native in-game DPS meter. The transmog system gets overhauled and PvP Training Grounds launches as a practice space.
