TBC Anniversary Madness of the Betrayer Boost - Black Temple Physical DPS Trinket

Madness of the Betrayer is the trinket every physical DPS in your raid is going to roll on the moment it drops. Passive armor penetration, attack power and an on-hit crit proc, all in one slot, with no fight-specific limitations and no on-use cooldown to babysit. Rogues, Fury Warriors, Arms Warriors, Hunters, Enhancement Shamans, Feral Druids and Ret Paladins all want it, and most of them want it for the entire remainder of the expansion. It is one of the few trinkets in TBC that holds its slot from Black Temple all the way through Sunwell.

The trinket drops from the Illidari Council, the second-to-last encounter in Black Temple. The drop rate sits around 15% per kill and once it does drop you are still rolling against every other physical DPS in the raid who is not already wearing it. The competition combined with the lockout cap creates the real pain.
