Buy Venomous Abyss Tier Set: The Full 4-Piece Bonus

The 4-piece is the single largest power spike available to your character in Season 2, and it comes from five slots that drop in one raid and nowhere else. Helmet, shoulders, chest, gloves and legs from the Venomous Abyss, at 292 to 302 on Normal or 305 to 315 on Heroic. Until the fourth piece is on, your build is running without the bonus it was designed around.

Every class has its own set, so a Death Knight walks out in the Baleful Grave-Knight's Crucible and a Shaman in the Ophidian Oracle's Prophecy. Normal covers the complete 4-piece bonus, and Heroic adds the option to order individual slots if part of the set is already sitting in your bags. Heroic also brings Ahead of the Curve: Ula'tek with it, non-set raid gear drops alongside the tier pieces, and all gold and loot from the runs stays on your character.

Once the set is together, the rest of the raid is worth taking. The Venomous Abyss Full Gear fills every remaining slot at the same difficulty, and Ula'tek Kill Heroic secures the Curve on its own if that is all you are after. Collectors should look at Glory of the Venomous Abyss Raider for the Crimson Venomfang.

HOW MANY PIECES DO I NEED FOR THE BONUS?

CAN I ORDER JUST THE SLOTS I AM MISSING?

On Heroic, yes. Pick Specific Pieces and tick only what you need, which is what most people want once a couple of pieces have come out of the Vault. Normal is sold as the complete 4-piece bonus rather than slot by slot.
NORMAL OR HEROIC?

Heroic if you already own part of the set, since it is the only difficulty that sells individual slots. It also runs 305 to 315 against Normal's 292 to 302, and Heroic Vault slots pay Myth track gear this season, so the raid keeps feeding your item level afterwards. Normal is the cheaper route if you are building the set from nothing.
DOES THE TIER SET STAY GOOD ALL SEASON?
