Each character has their own skill tree. Health, Stamina and Spirit are shared but all other abilities require individual investment per character. Plus, gear refinement consumes Artifacts that can't be refunded.

Kliff. He's the only character who can complete most main quests and explore the Abyss. Damiane and Oongka unlock later and should be invested in once Kliff is comfortable.

Yes, but it requires a Faded Abyss Artifact, which is a rare item. Resetting one character also resets the others, so plan carefully.
