How to Get the Auriferous Venomfang Mount in WoW Patch 12.1
A gold-scaled serpent coiled in venom, the Auriferous Venomfang is one of the first new mounts you can chase the moment the Coiled Isle opens. It is not a raid drop and it is not a rating grind. It is a treasure hunt, which means it is one of the few Season 2 mounts you can lock in solo, at your own pace, without waiting on a group.
Here is what it takes and every treasure you need to find
What is the Auriferous Venomfang

The Auriferous Venomfang is an account-wide mount added in Patch 12.1, a bright gold venomfang serpent themed to the Coiled Isle. Its only source is the Treasures of the Coiled Isle achievement, so there is no random drop chance involved. Finish the achievement and the mount is yours.
How to earn it

Completing Treasures of the Coiled Isle means discovering all 22 hidden treasures scattered around the island. Most are world objects you click to loot. A few register as small quests when you pick them up. There is no combat requirement beyond surviving the venom-soaked zone itself, so the whole thing comes down to exploration and knowing where to look.
Before you start

- Unlock the Coiled Isle first. The treasures live on the new island, so you need zone access through the Curse of Ula'tek campaign before any of this is reachable. Our Coiled Isle guide covers the unlock
- Grab your zone talents. The venom-mitigation pick in the Coiled Isle talent tree makes crossing the island far less punishing while you hunt
- Install a map addon. A treasure-tracking addon like HandyNotes with a Coiled Isle module, plus TomTom for waypoints, turns this from a blind search into a checklist. Each Wowhead link below also shows the object location on the map once you are logged in
Every treasure you need
All 22 treasures that count toward the achievement, with direct Wowhead links, how each one is collected and a slot for its location. Nineteen are world objects you click to loot. Three register as short quests the moment you pick them up.
Here is every treasure and where to find it. The fastest way through is a waypoint addon like TomTom: paste a coordinate with a /way command and it pins the spot on your map and compass, so you can chain the whole island into one clean loop instead of backtracking. No addon works too. Just sweep the isle in order and tick them off as you go

Tips for the hunt
- Some treasures look like they sit in the water. Names like Sunken Diver's Chest and Brine-Crusted Chest suggest the coast and the seabed, so when the coordinates land, expect a few under the surface rather than on dry ground. Treat that as a hint, not a confirmed spot
- Story progress can gate a few of them. These hunts often keep some treasures behind campaign phasing, so if a spot looks empty once locations are known, push further into the Curse of Ula'tek questline and come back
- Do it alongside your other Coiled Isle goals. You are already crossing the island for Curse Surges, world quests and Cursed Fishing, so fold the treasure run into those trips rather than making a separate lap. It also stacks nicely with Explore the Coiled Isle, the map-reveal achievement you finish just by covering the ground
- You do not need them in one sitting. The achievement tracks your progress, so pick them off across a few play sessions
Twenty-two stashes scattered across a venom-soaked island. If clicking every suspicious rock on a cursed island is not how you pictured your weekend, KingBoost will track down all of them and drop the Auriferous Venomfang straight into your collection while you go do the content you actually logged in for
